Singorama
Review
Introduction
Singorama is the number one best selling online software package for improving your voice; taking average talent and ability, and training it to a professional level, improving tone, and vocal range.
This completely independent review has been commissioned to provide a totally honest, unbiased opinion of how good, or bad, the Singorama package really is.
The complete, overall package offer
It has to be said that the Singorama package is truly comprehensive, and has been put together with care, and thought, and that it displays a thorough understanding of the voice training industry.
The use of the original musical content used in the training process, written specifically for Singorama is an excellent idea as it removes the difficulty that using well known songs would bring, because it evokes preconceived notions of what the song should and did sound like sung by the original artiste(s). This can make a singer try to mimic another singer’s style when the whole point of singorama is to develop the student’s natural voice.
The inclusion of their mini music studio is a terrific innovation.
OK let’s have a quick look at the individual elements of their package offer.
E-Books
There are 2 e-books supplied with every package, one for beginners, and one for established singers. When combined with the audio lessons (see below) they are very good teaching tools.
Audio Lessons
These are obviously the core of the Singorama package and you would therefore expect them to be good. In fact they are actually excellent; from lesson 1, getting started and understanding your own voice, through the complete journey and transformation of your voice, to lesson 28 which reviews everything you have learnt.
The format of the lessons is first class with plenty of audio examples you can listen to before trying your self for yourself. This optimizes your understanding of the exercises and enhances the teaching process well.
One of the things that makes this program so exceptional is that the lessons cover a wide range of topics related to performing including: performance anxiety; how to handle auditions, song writing, and your future singing career.
Singorama Mini Recording Studio
This is the thing that really sets this site apart from the competition; a mini recording studio that you download onto your computer as part of the package.
It gives you the ability to record and play back your own voice. It also has a virtual piano that you can use for scales and for correct pitch and tuning.
It’s a mystery as to why none of their competitors have jumped on this bandwagon, but it is a unique and valuable selling point for the Singorama package.
Perfect your Pitch Pro
This part of the package has been developed to help students to perfect their pitch. It is presented in the format of a game which makes the process fun.
It is not an essential skill for a singer to have, but it is a very useful talent to develop and is another example of how thorough Singorama have been in putting this package together.
Special Offer
Singorama are also offering a bonus package consisting of 4 free audio CDs for orders placed before 6th May, although this may be extended. They include voice warm-up exercises, vocal strengthening exercises, a vocal range enhancement CD for increasing the range of your voice, and an Interval training CD. These CDs are useful add-ons to the program and are another illustration of the packages excellence.
Slow to get going
The only slight criticism of the whole package offer is that the beginning includes some “techie” stuff like the history of singing which us not particularly relevant and slows the intro down a little.
Conclusion
The overall Singorama concept is brilliant. It has the best content of any of the online packages and certainly deserves a resounding recommendation.
